Customer Snapshot

Industry: FinTech / Crypto Compliance
Company Size: Scale-up
AWS Services Used: Amazon Bedrock, Amazon EKS, AWS Lambda, AWS Batch, Amazon RDS (PostgreSQL), Amazon VPC

Our customer transformed its compliance investigation workflows by adopting an AI-powered Agent, enabling faster case analysis and scalable real-time insights – with AWS and Develeap supporting the implementation.

The Business Challenge

The customer operates in a highly dynamic and regulated environment, where real-time monitoring and investigation of trading activity are critical.

As data volumes grew and market behaviors became more complex, traditional rule-based systems and manual investigation processes began to fall short. Analysts were required to review large amounts of data per case, slowing down investigations and making it difficult to detect sophisticated or emerging patterns.

At the same time, regulatory expectations continued to evolve, requiring higher accuracy, consistency, and auditability across compliance workflows.

This created a need for a solution that could:

  • Accelerate investigation and case analysis
  • Improve detection of complex and evolving anomalies
  • Standardize outputs for audit and regulatory requirements
  • Scale with increasing data volumes without increasing operational overhead

The Strategic Solution with AWS

The customer led the development of an AI-powered Compliance Agent on AWS, designed to support analysts with real-time insights, automated classification, and structured case summaries.

The solution is built on a multi-agent architecture:

  • Amazon Bedrock (Claude Sonnet) as the core reasoning engine for case analysis, summarization, and recommendations
  • Amazon EKS to orchestrate agent workflows using LangGraph
  • AWS Lambda & AWS Batch to execute real-time and batch investigation tasks
  • Amazon RDS (PostgreSQL) & Redis for prompt management, state, and workflow control

Through a Model Context Protocol (MCP) layer, the system securely connects the AI models to real-time compliance data, including case details, trading activity, and client information.

A dedicated prompt management system enables version control, governance, and continuous improvement of AI behavior — ensuring consistency and auditability in production.

Develeap supported the implementation by helping design a scalable AWS-native architecture, aligning the solution with best practices for security, performance, and reliability.

Business Outcomes & Impact

The introduction of the AI significantly improved how our customer customers manage investigations:

  • Reduced investigation time per case
  • Increased automation of classification and analysis workflows
  • Standardized, audit-ready case summaries
  • Increased productivity of compliance analysts

Beyond efficiency, the solution enhanced the overall quality and consistency of compliance operations — enabling analysts to focus on decision-making rather than manual data processing, and enabling the analyst to focus on investigating real cases instead of wasting time on false positives.

The purpose of the tool is to allow the customers to reduce false positives and to concentrate on the top issues.

Working with AWS and Develeap

The collaboration between the customer, AWS, and Develeap enabled rapid delivery of a production-grade AI platform.

Amazon Bedrock provided secure and scalable access to foundation models, while AWS infrastructure services enabled flexible orchestration and real-time processing.

Develeap supported the architecture design and implementation, ensuring the solution meets enterprise-grade requirements for security, scalability, and reliability.

This partnership allowed our customer to move quickly from concept to deployment while maintaining full control and governance over sensitive compliance data.

Next Steps

Following the success of the initial implementation, the customer is expanding the platform to support additional compliance use cases and deeper automation.

Next steps include:

  • Expanding AI-driven capabilities across more investigation workflows
  • Using AI to generate charts that display different statistics
  • Focusing on the investigation aspect of the alerts.
  • Increasing automation in decision support and recommendations
  • Scaling the platform to support additional markets and regulatory frameworks

With a strong AI and AWS foundation in place, our customer is well-positioned to continue evolving its compliance platform and lead innovation in the space.
